#KITRIrecommends
This week marks the first day of summer and it's fair to say that we're very excited to be welcoming the month of June! What better way to start a bright and action-packed summer than by highlighting some of our top finds for the sunny month ahead!

The beautiful interior in restaurant Bar Douro will have you instantly transported from the busy bustle of London to the tranquil streets of Portugal. Feeling like a true tile enthusiasts dream; the wonderful bottles of native wines and generous sharing platters bring together the true tastes of Portugal. So if a sun-drenched getaway to Portugal isn't on the agenda this year - then Bar Douro is the perfect substitute!
As a thank you for all of your support we wanted to treat you to the opportunity to wine and dine at this restaurant! Interested? Click the GIF below for more information on how to enter!
Frida Kahlo: Fashion as the Art of Being
Frida Kahlo was an iconic artist, whose truly inspiring story and bold sense of style has continued to influence and attract artists within fashion, including ourselves. This vibrant tribute to Frida Kahlo's colourful spirit and vision is the perfect coffee table book to dip in and out of when you've got a minute to yourself or are needing inspiration!
Somerset House Summer Series
June is officially the start of festival season, however, if the thought of mud, wellies and sleeping in a tent for 3 days isn't quite what you had in mind, London is full of less intense alternatives! One that has caught our eye this year is the series of open-air gigs being held at Somerset House. Supporting pioneering musicians across a range of genres, artists include Nao, Sons of Kemet and Rosalia.
An Enquiring Mind: Manolo Blahnik at the Wallace Collection
Starting on the 10th June, Manola Blahnik will be displaying an archive of shoe designs at the perfectly fitting setting that is the Wallace Collection. Going hand-in-hand with Manola's luxurious designs, each room will reflect a particular theme associated with the designer's work. We are most excited about seeing the pastel coloured shoes designed for the award-winning film, Marie Antoinette, who has been a huge inspiration for us.
