#KITRIrecommends
October has arrived and with it comes cooler days, darker nights and a whole new attitude on where we want to eat, drink and hang out. Here's what #TeamKITRI will be up to this month!

LITERATURE - Notes to self - Emilie Pine

Brought together over six essays reflecting on significant moments in a woman's life, including her own, Emilie Pine's novel Notes to self is radically honest and intensely personal, as she touches on her own experience of grief, birth and the taboos surrounding female bodies. Extremely profound and compulsively readable, it's a book we believe every one should have on their reading list.

LIFESTYLE - Oriole Bar

It's officially the start of 'cosy season' and that calls for late night drinks in warm, speakeasy bars that will make you completely forget about the weather outside. We've chosen Oriole Bar as our bar of choice this month for its long list of playful cocktails and live music that consists mostly of jazz and blues.

ART - Frieze Festival

We are always inspired by art when designing and creating content. We love the Frieze Art Fair as it's a wonderful way to get inspired and discover emerging artists.Made up of two events, Frieze London & Frieze Masters, the festival is on from the 3-6 October and hosts over 180 international galleries and hundreds of contemporary artists every year and has found its place among the largest contemporary art meetings in the world.

CULTURE - World Ballet Day

It's our favourite day of the year again! It felt only right that we mention World Ballet Day as our namesake KITRI comes from the lead character of a much-loved ballet Don Quixote, which was Haeni Kim's (our Founder & Creative Director) first ever solo role when she was an aspiring ballet dancer. If you haven't got a ballet booked, the Royal Opera House will be offering a unique glimpse behind the scenes with a live stream of rehearsals and interviews via YouTube and Facebook.
