Management Accountant

Reporting to: Director

Full time (hybrid) or Part-time 3 days per week

The Role —

We’re looking for a Management Accountant to provide a best-in-class accounting service.

Working closely with the operations director, you will be responsible for providing best practice accounting, processing, and reporting services.

Your Responsibilities:

  • Prepare accurate monthly management reports
  • Prepare accurate quarterly forecasts
  • Bookkeeping
  • Prepare VAT Returns
  • Help to prepare end-of-year accounts
  • Assist with budgeting processes
  • Prepare regular cash flow reports and forecasts
  • Implement reporting infrastructure
  • Creditor services
  • Develop processes and asses existing framework

Skills and Qualifications —

  • Educated to a degree level or experience with ACA accountancy qualification.
  • Have a strong foundation of knowledge of relevant Accounting Standards and regulatory framework, income tax, NI and VAT.
  • Highly organised, efficient, and personable.
  • Enjoys investigating, analysing and resolving accounting discrepancies.
  • Enthusiastic, can-do attitude and always striving for excellence in every aspect of your work.
  • Experience working in a small team but work well autonomously, and be a team player.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills with strong stakeholder management and coordination with external agencies.
  • Ability to navigate ambiguous situations and thrive in a fast-paced start-up environment.
  • Strong problem-solving skills, proactive and take initiative.
  • Highly organised, logical, and efficient, and can work to tight deadlines with a strong sense of urgency
  • Experience with Brightpearl is a plus!
