#KITRIspotlight

Working with Jessie this year has been a dream come true for Team KITRI. A collaboration in the truest sense of the word, we have worked tirelessly together throughout the year to create stylish, long lasting and, most importantly, fun collections to re-energise your wardrobe post-lockdown.

The 19-piece autumn collection epitomises Jessie’s signature style, seamlessly blended with signature KITRI twists. We sat down with Jessie to talk about the journey behind the collection – come with us!

We are so excited to launch the KITRI x Jessie Bush autumn collection and we have just LOVED working with you this year! What have you enjoyed most about our collaboration and what have been your favourite moments?

Definitely the chance to flex my creative juices alongside Haeni and the KITRI team - they have been amazing to work with - it’s felt like a true collaboration, each piece is very me, and it’s also very KITRI.

I think this collaboration has felt even more special as most of it has been done in varying stages of lockdown; and it’s felt so good to work as a team and bounce ideas around, particularly during the times when most of us were house-bound.

How does the autumn collection move on from spring and summer?

I think autumn is a little bit cooler, has a bit more attitude. Which to me makes sense - spring and summer are always a bit more feminine and light. It feels like a natural progression - some of our favourite dresses have evolved to fit the cooler months; darker palettes, heavier fabrics and stronger silhouettes. And my favourite Olive pants are back in the coolest print and are the first thing I want to wear when my belly will allow.

What are your favourite pieces from the collection and how will you be styling them?

The
Joey striped trousers - with everything from an oversized tee and a cool jacket, to an oversized knit and a big coat once winter hits. Another favourite is the Miranda check jacket - living in the UK means that pieces like this work extra hard. I plan to wear it with leggings and trainers when I walk Olive (my dog), to nights out over a ribbed dress and boots, as well as a warm layer for meetings and errands during the day.

Which autumn trends/what about autumn dressing are you most excited about? What can’t you be without?

It’s not a trend - but I’m most excited about getting back into the rhythm of ‘getting dressed’. I feel like I’ve spent majority of the past year and a half switching between lockdown dressing (aka tracksuits and bike shorts) and dressing up. Even though we’ve been out of lockdown for a while now, I feel as though there’s still a slight hangover from that period - so much of my wardrobe has been neglected - especially my long-forgotten bags and shoes.

I’m looking forward to wearing all of my wardrobe again, especially trousers and jeans - it’s been a long hiatus - although that’s more to do with pregnancy than lockdown!

What is your daily ‘uniform’ right now and how you adapted your style throughout your pregnancy? What styles have you found work will for both pregnancy and beyond?

I don’t feel as though my style has changed per-se during pregnancy, but I’ve definitely had to let go of anything that isn’t stretchy - especially now that I’m in my third trimester the bump is getting bigger by the day. I’ve tried to make the most of my pre-pregnancy wardrobe rather than buy anything new - so there’s been lots of bike shorts, oversized shirts and voluminous dresses - things I would wear anyway. Like lots of pregnant ladies I’ve definitely embraced plenty of ribbed dresses as they are perfect for my expanding bump, and will of course work after pregnancy too.

How would you sum up the KITRI x Jessie Bush collection in three words?

Cool, fun, easy.
